Sometimes the most beautiful sessions aren't the ones with perfect sunshine—they're the ones where a couple embraces whatever the day brings. Elizabeth and Josh's early summer engagement session at Omni Bedford Springs Resort was the perfect reminder that a little rain can create some of the most romantic photographs imaginable.

Omni Bedford Springs Resort is one of my favorite locations for engagement sessions in Central Pennsylvania. From the beautifully landscaped grounds to the historic architecture and peaceful surroundings, every corner offers another incredible backdrop. Even with light rain throughout the session, the property looked absolutely stunning.

Rather than rescheduling because of the weather, Elizabeth and Josh completely trusted the process. That trust made all the difference. The soft rain naturally brought them closer together, creating genuine moments that felt effortless and incredibly romantic. Their willingness to embrace the weather gave their entire session a timeless, almost cinematic feel reminiscent of scenes from The Notebook.

One detail I couldn't get enough of was Elizabeth's beautiful green dress with embroidered floral details. It blended perfectly with the lush summer landscape surrounding Omni Bedford Springs Resort. The rich greens throughout the property—from the mature trees to the perfectly manicured lawns—created a beautiful color palette that made every photograph feel vibrant while still remaining soft and elegant. Josh's outfit complemented hers perfectly, creating a timeless look that photographed beautifully.

Throughout the session we explored the property, using our clear umbrella to embrace the weather rather than hide from it. Instead of becoming an obstacle, the light rain softened the light, enriched the colors, and created an intimate atmosphere that simply wouldn't have existed on a bright sunny day. Some of my favorite engagement sessions are the ones where couples focus less on perfect weather and more on enjoying each other—and Elizabeth and Josh did exactly that.

By the end of the evening, it was obvious these two simply loved being together. Every laugh, every glance, and every quiet moment reflected the excitement of beginning this next chapter of their lives. It was such an honor to capture this special season for them, and I cannot wait to see where life takes them next.
